Marcia K. Green, O.D.: Optometrist

Dr. Marcia Green is a trusted local eye doctor who transitioned her independent eye care practice from the Wayland/Weston area to join State Street Eye in 2019.  Her willingness to take the time to learn about her patient’s unique vision needs and preferences have earned her a loyal patient following, with many relying on her personalized professional care for more than 30 years.

In addition to providing highly thorough eye exams and eye-health diagnostics, Dr. Green is a contact lens care expert, and specialist in prescribing prism lenses for patients with ocular motility disorders, including those whose vision has been affected by concussion, stroke, or genetic origin.

Dr. Green is an Indiana native and moved to the Boston area to attend the New England College of Optometry (NECO), where she also met and established her lifelong friendship with Dr. Lynn Wittman.  Prior to receiving her doctorate, Dr. Green graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech and theatre.

She has traveled to Nicaragua to volunteer her professional vision services as a member of VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity), and has served on the alumni board of NECO.  Currently, she volunteers her time and shares her love of music by playing piano for residents at a local retirement community.

When Dr. Green is not caring for patients, she can be found enjoying time with her daughter and granddaughters (ages two and five), or bicycling on Martha’s Vineyard and the rail trail with her companion Robert and their dog Dylan, a Bichon-Shih Tzu mix that enthusiastically rides along via a toddler trailer.
